hitchhiker found

From: Kathi LK Krankoski (krank@ameritech.net) | Date: 2004-06-06 21:50:03 UTC-05:00
While checking out visitors to my Fish Out of Water #1 box, lo and behold I
discovered we had a visitor! The Carving Clan's Lizard Hitchhiker has been
found and will be released via the Great Lakes Gathering next weekend.

(BTW: Great stamp!)

Found a hitchhiker today at the Southeast School Day Series in Mansfield, CT. Can't find it listed anywhere & it's only got three pages left in its logbook. It's identified as #65, Hatbox Caper Hitchhiker "Malenkai". Please let me know if it belongs to you and you'd like any instructions placed in it for when it's full!

Thanks,
Kit Kat

It is a hitchhiker from the mapsurfer "Hatbox Caper Hitchhiker Series" If
you go to mapsurfer's website you will find info on it.

Aha! Found the website. Can't say I get it yet, but I'll reread when I'm more awake.

Thanks!

And apparently this one just started moving again a few months ago, after having been in the same box for over 2 years.

Funny you should say that. While I still don't really understand the game (and given that it was listed 6 years ago, I wonder if it's over!), I did see that there were numbered boxes. This one has the proper release date, but not really the proper number!

Re: [LbNA] hitchhiker found

I found this beach bum surfer boy at the Inn of Winter H.H.H. in
Mansfield, CT. and released it at a local series. The box it had
been stuck in forever is one that warns of a difficult water
crossing. I have not been there myself, though it is close by.
[Jurnez Crescent Moon, Scotland, CT.] Why on earth would someone
fake a hitchhiker? The logbook attests to its travels. It was
launched on 12/6/02 and unfortunatly spent a long, long time (2 and
1/2 years) in an obsure box.
